Hanna Novak
Partner
Hanna handles divorce, parenting time, child support and adoption, and helps blended families plan their estates.
Hanna practiced family law in Madison before moving to Galena with her own family. She joined the firm to do the same work closer to home, in courts where she knows the clerks by name.
She prefers agreements reached at a table to rulings handed down from a bench, and she prepares every case as though it will go to a hearing, so her clients have a real choice.

How Hanna works
Hanna starts by asking what you need the next five years to look like, then works back to what to ask the court for. She explains the likely range of outcomes plainly, including the ones you won't like.
Where it's safe and sensible she tries mediation first. Where it isn't, she says so early and prepares for court.
Adoption and guardianship
Stepparent and relative adoptions, and guardianships for children and adults, are some of the happiest days in her calendar. She handles the paperwork and stands with you at the hearing.
